Essential functions and responsibilities include:

  • Prepare Journal Entries – calculate journal entries with data from system-generated reports or other sources for a variety of general ledger accounts
  • Reconcile General Ledger Accounts – maintain the reconciliations for a variety of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
  • Monthly Close Process – responsible for monitoring and meeting deadlines related to the monthly accounting close
  • Budget vs. Actual Analysis – assist in preparation of monthly analysis of budget to actual variances
  • Other Projects and Analysis – perform various ad hoc analyses as necessary

Position skills:

  • Advanced Excel experience
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, numerical, verbal and written communication
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other departments within the organization
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Ensure departmental deadlines are met and objectives are achieved

Position requirements:

  • Minimum of one (1) years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Public accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
