We have an exciting opportunity for YOU to join US, as our SENIOR. DEV OPS ENGINEER.
This position will be based in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Reporting to Cloud Ops Leadership, this role will design, implement, and deploy high availability automated tools in the cloud environment.
You will be expected to elevate our expertise and bring impactful contributions to our team in the following areas:
Planning and conducting technical tasks associated with the implementation of cloud
Automating tasks, gathering greater insights from the platform, maintain SLAs, reducing latency, and maximizing throughput while keeping the operational goals for high availability, reliability, performance, stability, security, and cost efficiency.
What will YOU do?
Upgrade the current environment to maximize auto-recovery and geographically
Build and maintain highly available systems on AWS Kubernetes (EKS)
Define and implement containerization technology strategies
Simplify architecture to expand use of Amazon Web Services provided applications.
Improve system monitoring and alerting to improve incident resolution time while
decreasing false positives.
Build and maintain software to manage infrastructure and applications through
Support, deploy, and monitor existing and new services, platforms, and application
Engage in service capacity planning and anticipate performance bottlenecks.
Explore and evaluate new technologies and solutions to push our capabilities
forward and solve tomorrow’s problems not just today’s
Participate in on-call rotations.
What will YOU bring to the role?
Bachelor’s degree with major in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information
Systems, or related.
5+ years as a Developer or DevOps Engineer, experience with DevOps tools, processes, and culture
Experience working with Unix/Linux systems from kernel to shell and beyond, with experience working with system libraries, file systems, and client-server protocols.
In-depth knowledge of operating systems (processes, threads, IPC, concurrency, locks, mutexes, semaphores, etc.)
Experience with network protocols and theory (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, MAC addresses, IP packets, DNS, OSI layers, and load balancing, etc.)
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with application deployment by using CI/CD.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Catchpoint, Kibana etc
Familiarity with algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis
Fluent in one or more of: Ruby, Python, Elixir, Java (or similar languages)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools
Systematic problem solving approach
Able to write clear and consumable documentation
