Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator - Louisiana Association for the Blind

Overview: The Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator works collaboratively with public relations, marketing, development teams and community partners to ensure Louisiana Association for the Blind’s (L.A.B.) social media and web presence are monitored, maintained and updated on a regular basis. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for all content and graphic design creation of printed and digital marketing materials
  • Manage all aspects of agency social network pages by keeping them active and dynamic
  • Review web analytics and ad words campaign on an ongoing basis and generate monthly reports regarding site traffic
  • Conduct market research to identify effective promotional methods
  • Assist when needed in writing and pitching publicity campaigns
  • Manage and contribute content to website projects to ensure they are current and relevant
  • Write, execute, and deploy email marketing campaigns and web content
  • Build relationships with new and existing audiences
  • Interview staff and program participants to develop compelling testimonials and stories that can be used in various media, such as agency newsletters and Mailchimp marketing campaigns
  • Assist in management and implementation of L.A.B.’s fundraising events and projects
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned Qualifications:
  • Superior Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Microsoft Word, and Excel skills are required
  • Superior creative and technical writing skills
  • Strong communications, team-building, strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Experience with digital printers
  • Experience in all social media platforms and Hootsuite
  • Experience with mailing and data merges
  • Creative thinker with an intense attention to detail
  • Stay up-to-date with new design trends and technologies
  • Preferred Requirements:
  • Strong desire to learn and takes direction/feedback with ease
  • Graphic Design, Marketing or Public Relations college graduate
  • Two years’ experience in a related field
  • Ability to work with people who are blind and/or disabled
  • If sighted, a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and proof of current auto insurance is required.
